Day Out

On Saturday my darling husband decided we would go on a barbie picnic for Australia Day.
Yeah l know we were a bit early celebrating Aussie Day but as Shane works on Tuesday we couldnt do it then. So we went across to Nagambie. Nice little town with a huge lake.
Do you like his hat. It was free in Saturdays sun.

This is Saturday evening we went out to Rubicon for a Barbie with BIL Greg and SIL Jo and niece Hayley.
We are going to hitch up the caravan and relax along the river here one weekend in Feburary with a group of friends .Should be fun.

Today l have made a ATC and Postcard display stand to display them when they come in the mail swapped from other people so there will be lots coming soon.
I made the Display out of a lid of a polystyrene box and covered it with a new Tea towel and l have just pressed pins in to hold it into place, very easy and only took about 10mins to do.

Beading

Hi again

Just wanted to show everyone 2 little projects l have been working on.

I have dicovered the joy of beading.

Just before Christmas l broke my ring finger on my right hand and so it made it difficult to hand sew, so had to find another project so decided l would give beading ago, and it didnt hurt the finger so of l went.

The hardest thing l found with beading was l didnt know when to stop, it was addictive.

I hope you like them.

Post a comment if you like them or not or am l talking to my self and as such going mad.?????

Adelaide Trip

On our recent 2 week trip in August we went to Mildura and across the border to a little town of Wentworth than just out from there were the Perry sandhills which we climbed and let me tell you they were bloody steep.
When we got to the top we dicovered if we had of come up from the other side we would of walked up a nice gentle grade instead of straight up.
I had a nice slide down the hill. Yeah only one slide l wasn't walking back up there.

Insanity by Marlene

Hi

Well this post has been a long time coming.

It has been a very enventful year with the Bushfires in Feb, making and quilting of lost s of quilt to give to surviors , our 1st overseas trip to Thailand in May, Caravan trip to Adelaide and Mildura and Echuca for 2 weeks.

When wewent to Adelaide we stayed at Lobethal which is where my brother lives.

What a beautiful spot it is.

Its called the valley of Praise,

We want to move there its such a beautiful area.

So my goal now is to start uploading random photos from the last 12 months.

<

The first photo was made for a Challenge for our group (Alexandra Quilters) It had to made with Japanese fabrics and be no bigger than A4 page and l have made it out of quarter inch hexagons.

It took me 3 months to complete. It kept me sane while the fires were here in Feb.

p>The second photo is of my Insanity Quilt which has 10,339 half inch Hexagons when finished.

Thats 2 photos in 2 days, Can l keep this up.
