Jus wanted to share a photo of a beautiful little Christmas Cake that l just received this morning as well as a bottle of Champayne,
A friend came around to thank me for the help l had given her with her IPad.
Thankyou so much Henie
We will enjoy it while we are sitting beside the river on Chrissy Day

Black Forrest Cake

I have just put the finishing touches to a Black Forrest Cake for a customer that used to buy these cakes from me over 10 years ago.
She contacted via Facebook and asked if l would do one for her.
So cake done now l have one more quilt to do and then get the Christmas stuff packed up in the bus and head out of town for Christmas beside the river.
But first l have to be brave and head on down to the supermarket and get some food,
I am so not looking forward to the supermarket shopping, I usally send Shane down there but when he gets home from work today, he's still got some work to do on the bus. So l had better be nice haha
Still have lawns to do, maybe l can do that by torchlight, or maybe the magical faroese might come and do it. YEAH SURE
Bye for now and have a nice Christmas

Banner

Wagtail wines Banner

Today I decided to quilt a Banner (quilt) for a friend who owns a vineyard in Taggerty Victoria called Wagtail Wines, hence the reason there was a bottle of red in my studio this afternoon., and no l didn't open it.
I freehand drew the Wagtail Wines lettering and the strange looking Willie Wagtail onto some cream homespun, and started to quilt in black thread,
I am having so much fun doing this quilt,
When I have finished quilting it I will color the words and the wagtail in with black Derwent Intense pencils
I will post a pic in a few days when l have finished it.

New Zealand

Photos of a customers very large Drunkards path with a lovely panto called Ellie's Dragonflys
I have now quilted about 5 of these quilts taught by one of my customers in the local shop, all beginner patchworkers and they have all been wonderful to quilt except one , and l just found out why yesterday. The customer had only gone to the first lesson,.
So if there is anyone around Alexandra wanting to learn how to do patchwork, call in to theAlexandra Drapery and book into a class with Anne Gale.
